FAQ – Searebbel MobilePilot
- Do I need to modify my boat to install MobilePilot ?
No. The system is designed for a clean install without drilling or complex wiring. You swap the existing wheel and you’re ready to go.
- How long does the battery last on the water ?
Expect around 4–6 hours of use depending on sea conditions and your route.
- What can I do from the Searebbel app ?
You can build a route, set waypoints and use heading hold, controlling the pilot via Bluetooth® for quick, intuitive navigation.
- Can it connect to NMEA 2000® electronics ?
Yes, using the Actisense W2K-1 module. It works with NMEA 2000® MFDs that output PGN129284 for navigation commands (Go To, routes, waypoints).
- How is the MobilePilot powered ?
MobilePilot runs on an integrated rechargeable battery. It is fully self-contained and does not require any permanent 12 V or 24 V boat power connection for normal operation.
